With the renewed interest in metal consuming the American, UK and European airwaves, Scotland’s Genetik Blueprint are heading the pack of exciting new acts in the United Kingdom. With so much amassed since their conception 3 years ago, over 400 copies of their debut demo (2004) and over 500 combined sales of their sophomore releases ‘Calculate’ & ‘Fractionize’(2005) and counting, the band strive to push the boundaries of modern metal bring there philosophy of “Aggressive Music for the Intelligent”. 2005 saw the 4 piece gain support slots on the UK tour with Denmark’s The Psyke Project who asked for the band to support again in 2006 while they toured again. In Edinburgh in 2005 the band opened for the highly acclaimed Selfish C**t from London. Finally the Year was capped off with a sold out support with Warner Bro’s signings ‘Skindred’ and Visible Noise Records own ‘Devil Sold His Soul’. Splitting the Atom is the band’s latest release and has already reached the 100 sales mark having only been available since September 2006. This is already being heralded as the bands best work to date. As such, Genetik Blueprint will be opening for Anticulture’s Interlock in November as they tour the UK on the Rock Sound & Terrorizer Magazine sponsored gigs, Walls of Jericho at King tuts on November 9th and finishing off 2006 supporting The Berzerker at the Glasgow Soundhaus on December 11th. On CD Genetik Blueprint sound as though they were a 5 or 6 piece with their mix of detuned metal riffs, tight and pounding poly-rhythmic percussive section & dynamic mix of samples & electronics. However, the bands 4 members recreate all the visceral action of their recordings into crazed live shows that are attracting people and fans to take notice. The bands established “Street Team” is bringing their music to the attention of the masses and as such their live shows are gaining larger crowds each and every show. At present the band are seeking a record label with vision to sign and promote their “Aggressive Music for the Intelligent” to the World.
